No country fayre would be complete without some competitions. The categories will be: KNITTED / CROCHETED ANIMAL, VICTORIA SPONGE, DECORATED CUPCAKES, VEGETABLE ANIMALS and PHOTOGRAPHS. Click here for the competition entry form.

1400  Dog show in the village hall car park

1430  Stocks – your chance to throw water sponges!

1500  Country Dancing

1600  MayPole Dancing

Throughout the day there will be stalls along the main village road, together with an ‘exhibition’ tent, tea/ refreshment tent, children’s entertainment area situated behind the Half Moon. Various musicians will be playing at different locations during the course of the day.
Dog Show  – starts at 2pm with entries taken from 1.30pm entry fee 50p per class 1. Best puppy dog or bitch ( 4 – 12months); 2. Best Veteran – 10yrs and over; 3. Best Condition; 4. Best sporting.working; 5. Best Non sporting/working; 6. Best Cross- breed; 7. Most appealing eyes; 8. Dog/bitch judge would like to take home; 9. Dog/bitch most like its owner; 10. Most waggiest tail; 11. Best rescue; 12. Child handler – under 14 yrs of age

Beer Festival at the Half Moon Inn

Friday 21st & Saturday 22nd June

Starting at 5pm on the Friday evening and finishing at midnight on the Saturday a beer festival with live music.  Contact the Half Moon for further details : 01823 442271
